Terrier Rig

Main Chassis

Fabricated from box section incorporating drop weight, supports, engine mounting and controls.

Drop Hammer

Two piece weight 50kg and 13.5kg for dcp or spt testing.  This runs on two rails and is full guarded with mesh.

Trip Hammer speed:     0 – 50 blows per minute

Trip Hammer drop:       500 – 750mm

Trip Hammer weight:    50 or 63.5kg

Mast Assembly& Dimensions

Fabricated with box section, mast connected by hinge pin to main chassis, hydraulically raised and lowered.

Overall height:   2.4 – 2.85m

Width:                          0.6  - 0.8m

Hydraulic Power Pack

This is powered by a 16HP water-cooled diesel engine and provides power for drilling, rigging and tracking.

Flow for PTO:              30 l/min

Working pressure:        175 bar

Tracks

Purpose built crawler with rubber tracks, fitted with a tilt mechanism to allow working on slopes.

Crawler width:  0.8m

Overall length:   1.5  - 2.7m

Total weight:                 1300kgs

Limited Access Rig

light (DP-L), medium (DP-M) and heavy (DP-H) dynamic sounding with Honda engine.

This unit is powered by a reliable 4-stroke petrol engine which transmits ist revolutions through a centrifugal clutch and a robust gearbox to the rotating chain integrated in the mast body. Thus the unit is independent from other energy sources and can be operated everywhere. The number of blows per minute (between 15 and 30) is controlled by adjusting the engine speed at the throttle lever.

T13 Dynamic Probe

An extremely versatile dcp which can be used

anywhere.

Specification:

Height: max  1.8m

Width:   0.4m

Weight: 10kg

Drop:     0.5m

Manufactured in hardened steel, this light

versatile rig packs into 2 rucksacks (or a

wheelbarrow) to allow dcp testing in the most

inaccessible locations.

This rig pushes a sacrificial nose-cone into the

ground to measure the resistance/strength.  These

measurements can then be interpreted to SPT’s.

The T13 provides a quick reliable solution for the

limited access, high volume projects where

sampling is not required.
